Endpoint Manager Not Working I killed an older install of PIAF that was working and upgraded to PIAF 2. Endpint Manager installs, but will not get any updates or provision files. The PBX End Point Manager (EPM) on your phone system lets you manage external device settings such as Phones, Gateways and Overhead Paging Devices. With the EPM you can create templates defining the settings you want for a group of devices and then map extensions to use specific templates. The following items are the main parts to the EPM.
EndPoint Manager. EndPoint Manager is a module within FreePBX®, that can be used to install and provision IP phones as well as manage firmware updates. This is a very useful tool that works with the most of the major brands. As an example we will setup a Cisco phone, to begin select Install on Cisco. Jun 08, 2012 Yealink, PBX-in-a-Flash and automatic phone deployment. Now configure a SIP extension in the normal way in FreePBX. Don’t forget to use a long complex password – Next we go to End Point Device List. This is where we tell End Point Manager the MAC address of the phone and the extension this should be configured as. I am trying to provision some Yealink T46G phones using FreePBX. Closest option in the endpoint manager is the T38. And that works to get a phone up and working on the PBX. What I cannot get working - at all - is programming the speed dial keys/extensions on the phones. FreePBX is a web-based open source GUI (graphical user interface) that controls and manages Asterisk® (PBX), an open source voice over IP server. FreePBX is licensed under the GNU General Public License, an open source license.

Hi Everyone,
I have a few years of experience with FreePBX and the Endpoint manager under my belt using a variety of phones, however, a few Yealink T46S phones are driving me to drink. Here's the specifics:
- Brand new FreePBX (latest distro) install
- Brand new T46S phones
- FreePBX Endpoint Manager installed w/ Yealink template created
- Endpoint manager global settings points to FreePBX server
- Using HTTP provisioning, not TFTP.
- Confirmed SIP ports between PBX & Phones Chan_SIP (5160, 5161 TLS)
For the life of me, I follow all of the proper procedures for trying to get the phones to auto-provision using the phone GUI. No Luck whatsoever.
Upon a reboot of the phone as well, it shows 'Sending Provision Requests', however, it then pops up 'Update Skipped' and moves on to doing nothing.

I originally figured I would try out these phones as they would be a simple alternative to the usual Polycom. I'm really hoping someone has an idea of something simple that I missed?? :) Thanks!

I've been playing with FreePBX since I first started working with VoIP, (just over a year ago) and I've always liked it. Lately, it's just getting better though. I've ordered a s500 and look forward to playing with the auto provisioning and phone apps.

The company I work for does not touch freepbx, we focus on zultys. That being said, the more I learn about zultys licensing and it's quirks and shortcomings, the more I want to learn about freepbx.
So my question is, If you have experience with another VoIP solution other than freepbx, what is it, is it better? worse? why?
